About Ryan Draper
Ryan grew up on the outskirts of Houston in a town called Spring. With boyhood aspirations of becoming a Space Cowboy, he was devastated to discover the career did not exist and would never leave the ground. Changing orbits, he was quickly rocketed toward a love for the outdoors that has stayed with him to this day. Ryan graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism, which allowed him to study his passion and gain valuable experience in the field.
For a while, Ryan lived out of a tent in the mountains of Colorado, sharing the wilderness as an outdoor educator. The silent hours spent observing wildlife in the backcountry helped solidify his appreciation of the education and conservation efforts put forward by organizations like the Houston Zoo. Ryan is thrilled to be a part of such an impressive team of professionals.
